We used social to bring a dying show back to life?

The Ask:

Reinvigorate an exhausted fan base by finding new mediums and ideas to engage and excite fans as the show prepares to take on some of the most significant leaps the franchise has ever seen.

The Answer:

Take a 44-minute show that airs for just 16 weeks out of the year and turn it into an always-on cultural movement and universe far bigger than TV. Do more than just broadcast to our fans; join them as the biggest TWD fan.

Our season 8 social campaign was built to re-engage fans and immerse them in a new look & feel, along with concepts and activations to push their social feeds beyond the TV screen and further immerse our fans into the Walking Dead universe.

Back From The Dead

For the season 8 premiere, we worked with executive producer Greg Nicotero to unleash Walkers on the most iconic spots in LA. Fans could follow along on social as they made their way to The Greek Theater for the premiere.
